Frequently Asked Questions.
Who does Purely Speech serve?
Purely Speech serves children from birth to 18 in Houston County and surrounding areas.
What do I need before my child’s evaluation?
You will need a physician’s referral from your child’s pediatrician prior to their evaluation. You will also receive several intake forms such as developmental history, consent for therapy, etc, that will need to be completed before the evaluation.
What does home/community-based services mean?
This type of session will take place either in your home or an agreed upon location. This is to offer convenient services in a comfortable and familiar environment for your child. Sessions can be provided in daycares when discussed and felt appropriate by all parties involved. Please note that at this time, most insurance plans do not cover home/community based therapy.
What other options are available and covered by most BCBS plans?
Even though home/community based visits can only be done with private pay, we are able to treat in an office setting. This setting is available for private pay and insurance clients. Please contact us to determine what your insurance plan covers and for private pay rates. Your care in the clinic setting will still be individualized and catered to your child’s needs.
What does speech therapy cost?
We currently accept private pay, and we are in-network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Please contact us for more information regarding evaluation and therapy fees. Each vary based on type of assessment and treatment given. We strongly suggest you check with your insurance company to determine whether or not you have coverage for speech and language services. It is your responsibility to determine whether or not you have coverage, as well as, if any preauthorizations are required to evaluate or treat your child. We are happy to provide any information your insurance company may need to determine coverage such as assessment reports and progress notes. If you require further assistance or have any questions regarding payment or costs please email: kassidy@purelyspeechtherapy.com
Payment is due at the time of your appointment with Purely Speech, LLC via cash, check or a secure online portal for credit cards.
